The station lies 36 kilometres from the magnificent Kings Canyon (Watarrka) and is set amongst majestic desert oaks. Kings Creek Station is a cattle station that offers visitors a wide range of accommodation from self Camping, Bush Tents, Mort Conway Camp, Drovers Dream and Dreamtime Escarpment, with WiFi included (conditions apply). A range of supplies, meals, drinks and souvenirs can be bought at the station shop, and our camel burgers are a huge favourite with many visitors.
Some 36 documentaries have been filmed at Kings Creek and the station hosted Australian Geographics’ fourth expedition. In 2001 the world famous Australian Safari travelled through and stayed at the station. Kings Creek Station has also been featured on 7 Sunrise Weather hosted by Grant Denyer in 2012, and recently on Channel 9’s Travel Guides Red Centre episode in January 2021. Kings Creek Station has been recognized as a 2022 Travellers’ Choice award winner. DROVERS DREAM
The Drovers Dream features 10 perfectly positioned tents that capture the changing colours of the Watarrka landscape. Add to this the incredible rocky outcrop that is the George Gill Range, the magnificence of our beautiful sunsets and the unique skies perched above our incredible station will guarantee travellers that unique experience.
The Drovers Dream is a truly Australian outback accommodation experience, but with all the creature comforts built in. These tents come with beautifully appointed furnishings and luxurious internal ensuite. Each tent is designed for comfort with a plush queen bed, reverse cycle air-conditioning, a walk-in ensuite shower, custom deck with BBQ and your very own fire pit for those cooler evenings. The Drover’s Dream is located in a private area of the station, approx. 5.8km from reception and the bough shed where breakfast is served.
$690, includes 1 night accommodation, 1 course self cook BBQ dinner, and a Bushman’s buffet breakfast at the Station Bough Shed. For a 2 night consecutive stay it is $1250 per tent. Adults only (Over 18 years).
Room only option (no meal inclusions)is available at $540/night, or $990 for a 2 night consecutive stay.

CAMPING
Set amongst natural bush with views of the George Gill Range, our campground offers a choice of sites, with or without power. Toilet, shower and laundry facilities are provided; as well as our swimming pool to cool off in the summer, and a roaring campfire to keep you warm in the winter months!
Our spacious campground provides various sized sites catering for tents, caravans, campervans and swags. Native trees provide shade and privacy giving an air of peace and tranquility.
$37.50 per adult, per child (6-16 years) $12.50- powered site per night
$32.50 per adult, per child (6-16 years) $12.50 – unpowered site per night
$82.50 family powered site – 2 x adults plus children under 16 per night

BUSH TENTS
Located against the spectacular backdrop of the George Gill Ranges are our Bush Tents. Our entry level accommodation provides an authentic, but no-nonsense option when staying at Kings Creek Station. These tents, although basic in design, feature air conditioning units, light and power, and are twin share with all linen provided. There are shared toilet and shower facilities, camp kitchen with fire pit, with nearby grassed picnic area and swimming pool.
The kitchen provides tea & coffee making facilities, microwave, fridge and gas BBQ; perfect if you want to prepare your own meal! Alternatively order from our menu, which caters for all budgets and tastes. BBQ packs are available at the shop along with bottled wine and beer. Just remember to check the kitchen’s last meal orders!
Tents are provided on a bed and breakfast basis. The Bushman’s style buffet breakfast consists of: bacon, eggs, hash brown, sausages, baked beans, toast, tea & coffee (subject to change).
$230 per tent, per night (2 people, twin share).
$390 for a two night consecutive stay (2 people, twin share).
$39.00 per swag hire to sleep on the floor (child use only 10 or under).
$50 deposit per tent is required to confirm a reservation.

MORT CONWAY CAMP
These premium, spacious tents allow you to really experience the outback in a secluded area of Kings Creek Station (approx. 2km from the entrance and reception). The focus is on comfort with quality linens, king-size or twin beds, a private ensuite bathroom, reverse cycle air conditioning, and a mini-fridge.
$490 per tent, per night OR $925 for a two night consecutive stay (price based on double occupancy).
Bushman’s breakfast and dinner** included in the price, and held at Kings Creek Station’s Bough Shed / Cafe, approximately 3.7kms drive from the Mort Conway Camp.
**Dinner is one main meal per person; no drinks included.

DREAMTIME ESCARPMENT PACKAGE
Our luxury secluded glamping tents are positioned along the escarpment and elevated to provide maximum airflow and views. These spacious and beautifully appointed tents allow you to really experience iconic Australian camping on a truly genuine but luxurious level. The focus is on comfort with quality linens and décor, king-size or twin beds, a private bathroom with a difference, luxury amenities, bathrobe and slippers, power, heating, air-conditioning and coffee machine.
Lounge in the pool or on the deck with the vast desert as your backdrop and keep an eye out for wildlife that may wander into view.
The Dreamtime Escarpment is located in a private area of the station, approx. 6.8km from the reception and cafe.
Stargaze the desert skies or toast marshmallows by your private fire.
The self-cook bush inspired BBQ dinner and breakfast hamper will be provided to create a memorable outback dining experience. Enjoy the selection of drinks to complement your meals.
$985, includes 1 night luxury accommodation, cheese platter, 2 course self cook BBQ dinner, drinks package and a self cook breakfast hamper.
